Hi all
I've recently come to be the owner of a Curta #8095 which was found in friends attic, just the calculator and its external case. No box of manuals.
Its in pretty good shape, the case has some wear and tear and the calculator has some wear on the high points.
What I'm interested in is taking good care of it. Are there any special instructions I should take note of ? .. avoiding moisture, cleaning, lubrication etc ... |

Nice find. And good topic. I'm interested too.
How's the action? Does it feel 'gummed' up? (e.g., moving the sliders up/down or when cranking out a calculation?)
Both of mine were serviced by Timewise (Mr. Christensen) and am very pleased with his work. One was very gummed up (but externally stunning.) Result after his craftmanship on it is a crisp, smooth sliding machine.
Hopefully some experts will chime in. |

Hi
Works fine, everything seems smooth and works ..
Its more of a long term question about storage. I guess its been fine in some lady's loft for # years with no care so maybe I've answered my own question.
Put it in a box and forget about it |
