How many decimal markers does the Type I and Type II have (or are supposed to have)? |

The quantity of decimal markers on the Type I and Type II differed from time to time. The Type I had 3 to 5 markers on the carriage, and 2, 3 or 4 on the lower hand grip. The Type II had 5 or 6 markers on the carriage, and 3 to 5 on the lower hand grip.
The highlighted quantities were most typical.
I've seen a number of Type Is with only 2 on the lower hand grip, but I've always assumed those machines were missing markers because someone removed one or two. _________________ Jack Christensen

Hi Jack, just for your information: I own a type I with very high serial # and it has only 2 markers on the lower hand grip. Definitely original because has never been used. My type II, same conditions, has 3 markers on the lower hand grip. Regards |
