Not too much, frankly. Firstly, #10024 is owned by M. Vincent Merlen, a fellow Canadian, and this ad is, I believe, the fourth time I've seen #10024 fraudulently offered for sale. Secondly, the machine pictured is 551494, a final-variant Type II, you can buy one of these for $600-$700 US on eBay any day of the week. Thirdly this listing is coming from a zero-history (ha) eBay member.
If you would like to bid on #10024, look up Vincent and ask him. The eBay seller in this case is a liar, unless he's taken the time to break into Vincent's house and steal this particular machine. _________________ Cheers, Pete |

Thanks Pete. Yes this seller is a liar and also a stupid liar. Why doesn't he sell the 551494 Curta. How point this rip-off to ebay ? Regards |

Frankly I couldn't find the listing to flag it for eBay. Regardless, I have discussed this in the past with Vincent - he has ALSO informed eBay every time this happened - and no action was ever taken, so it is pointless to report it. eBay will let the sale complete, pay the seller, and then refund the buyer. This is why our insurance rates, and things like eBay fees, are so high. _________________ Cheers, Pete |

maybe the ebay seller has stolen these pictures from somewhere?
The whole sale could be a complete outright rip off and you would never see your money or a Curta |
