Hello all,
New member and just picked up a nice, 60+ year old Type 1.
It works well though there is some resistance when all or most of the numbers are turning. The amount of resistance may be normal or due to old grease, etc although it's cosmetically very clean.
This got me thinking about the lack of qualified people available to clean and service these. Is there a guide anywhere that details basic internal cleaning procedures and where to lube and not to lube?
This would be great for those of us with the tools and ability to undertake such a task.
Thanks! |

Thanks Murff,
I saw that chart not long after I posted and I think I going to end up buying a service manual. I have an in-law who speaks German so that'll be a big help.
Thanks again! |
