I have a Curta type 1 for sale with the metal canister, It is s/n 22583.
I believe made in 1953. I also have what appears to be the manual. It unfolds to a large sheet of paper with instructions both sides.
I would say it's in excellent shape; everything works and no marks. This is the only Curta I have seen, so I'm not an expert.
My Dad was a surveyor and used it. He passed it to me and I used it briefly. My son is not interested so it's time to find a new home for it.
I'm asking $1000 CAD. Contact me for pictures.
