Hi, I was thrilled to have a curta passed on to me. However it will not open ( I am twisting the right way!) and I do not want to force it. Does anyone have any tips? It is from Automatic Business Machines of London and from around the mid to late 1950s. You can see a couple of photos on twitter.

The canister is strong aluminum and it opens clockwise. The Curta inside is from the sixties.
As I checked, everything else was already responded at twitter...
Please report the hopefully successful opening! _________________ :: m u r f f
