Hi,
I recently purchased a Curta Type 1 on ebay.
I noticed that it was previously owned by someone else, and the reset ring was broken.
When I placed this order, I knew that the ring has been fixed, and the Curta is in better condition(the outside look). When I bought, the Curta ended up higher price than previous trade, and that is understandable from my prospective.
However, I have one question. How can I tell if the replaced ring is metal or plastic? I assume the seller should have replaced it with metal.
Thank you. |

Before you figure out whether yours in metal or plastic, check your serial number to see what it should be first: earlier Type 1s were metal, and later Type 1s were plastic.
You can do that here: http://www.curtamania.com/curta/code/type_and_age_of_your_curta.php _________________ "CALL, O CURTA!" |
