|
|
Hello,
New here. I inherited several mechanical type items from my engineer grandfather, including a Curta II. I have been educating myself a bit, as I'm now getting ready to sell some of these items.
The serial # checker dates it to Aug. 1954 (begins with 504XXX). It is all black, and appears to be in very excellent condition. It does not appear to have been used much at all. It is in the original black canister. I did check its function at one point (A-OK), but would need to do it again and document.
Additionally, I have all of the original documentation --- manuals and sales brochures.
Perhaps most importantly, I have the original receipt which indicates the matching serial #. It shows purchase by a U.S. Air Force captain at a store in Wiesbaden Germany.
I am open to private sale, and I have researched sold eBay sales, and read as much as I can on the Curta web sites. I am in U.S., and wondering how/if to restrict selling internationally?
Any other helpful advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you.

Lovely. The early Type 2s and the all-metal Type 1s are my favourites in my collection and this is an even nicer example than mine. Good for you! _________________ Cheers, Pete |
