Not sure what the prices are based on,

But playing around, why are the type 1 9xxx - 37xxx worth less than the 38xxx - 41xxx?

Also surprised the difference between a metal can and plastic is only about $30

The Curta Type I 38001-41100 range is the very rare subcategory with the parallel lettered base plate.
( see Variations of Curta Type I) - so I estimated them a bit higher...

Both cans are no longer available and for a fitting can - metal or plastic - you have to search a very long time. Therefore the price is not so different.

But these values are all highly discussible... Exclamation
