Hi everyone,

I have recently acquired a Type II on Ebay for a reasonable price and good condition, but the case was missing. It prompted me to CAD a replacement inspired by the original plastic canisters (I own other Curtas with cases which allowed me to study them) and optimized for FDM 3D printing.

The cases have the cushion on the bottom, the stem on the top to hold the Curta in position inside the case and an O-ring to seal the case. The O-ring is black as I have not found a white one (yet).

I am willing to print and send the cases for a reasonable price to anyone interested. Send me an email to janrod@gmail.com.

Hello Jro, I bought a type 1 recently (15639), and the box was missing too.
I'm manufacturing a new one on my lathe from a piece of aluminum right now, and I found a white oring gasket in Holland, on the website o-ring-stocks. These parts are made from Téflon, and you can easily choose your dimensions on the list.

I also bought 3 mm thickness silicon foam to manufacture a bottom cushion, and that material looks like exactly the original one ! No website link for the foam, but it can be found on the web....
